One of our chief goals at the Iowa Society for Respiratory Care is to monitor for bills, and lobby representatives, within our state government for issues that impact our profession and patients

Every year, we host a legislative breakfast to maintain our presence with our representatives at the Capitol

We do this with the help of our lobbyists Matt, Kate and Maddy - they are a huge help keeping us updated on the many things happening up on Capitol Hill. We also bring many respiratory therapy students, to learn about the legislative process and the impacts it has on their future profession!
